This season’s winner Liverpool will receive £100,000 in prize money after they defeated Chelsea 1-0 on Sunday to win Carabao Cup.

The Blues will be paid £50,000 for coming second following their defeat at Wembley.

While the other two semi-finalists, Fulham and Middlesbrough, will get £25,000 for reaching the last four.

It was revealed that other football clubs who were knocked out in the earlier rounds will not get a dime in prize money.

This is little compared to the £100m+ on offer to the Premier League winners and a similar amount available to the Champions League victors.

According to the reports, the winner of this season’s FA Cup will get around £4m in prize money and the winners of the third round, when the Premier League sides entered, all made £105,000.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be leaving Anfield at the end of the season with another trophy to his name.
