Brentford manager Thomas Frank has opened up on the club’s decision to sell their goalkeeper David Raya this summer transfer window.

Raya has been linked with moves to Arsenal who have shown interest in signing him.

Frank revealed that the Spanish goalkeeper is intent on leaving the Bees this summer.

The Gunners are reportedly getting ready to submit a bid for the goalie, who has also attracted interest from German sides Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.

When asked why Raya was not part of Brentford’s squad that played against Aston Villa in a friendly, Frank told NBC Sports: Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. I hope [we get an offer]. We are waiting to sell. David would like to go. That’s fine for us.

“If a club want to buy [him], they just need to find out the price. So I guess it should be simple, but apparently, it’s very difficult.”
