Chelsea defender and Brazil international, Thiago Silva, has been handed a ‘significant financial offer’ to leave the west London sides for a club in the Middle East at the end of this campaign.

This claim was made public by popular football expert, Ian McGarry in a recent statement.

Recall that Silva moved to Stamford Bridge from French club Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2020.

Although his current deal with Chelsea will expire at the end of the current season, Silva has become a key player in the Blues squad under Thomas Tuchel as he helped them improved their defence.

There are already claims that the Blues plan to give the Brazil defender a new deal that will see him remain at Chelsea for another one year.

This comes after he played a key role in Chelsea’s run to UEFA Champions League victory last season despite going off injured in the final victory against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

“It’s our information that we have obtained here at the Transfer Window that Thiago Silva has a significant financial offer to continue his career in the Middle East, which of course in terms of money would be attractive because it would be tax-free and the leagues, of course, are not overly competitive,” McGarry told the Transfer Window Podcast.

“But Silva himself is extremely competitive.”
