Arsenal striker advised to leave for his best interest

Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit has advised the club’s striker Folarin Balogun on his future as he said it is in his best interest to consider another club.

Meanwhile, Balogun has been linked with moves to Serie A side Inter Milan and some other Premier League clubs following his impressive loan season with Reims.

However, Petit believes the striker needs a clean break as Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus have already extended their contracts with Mikel Arteta’s side.

Speaking about Balogun, Petit told DAZN Bet: “He’s done very well here in France and I know he could be an option.

“But I have been saying for months that the best thing for all parties would be a clean break.

“Arsenal have just signed a new long-term contract with Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus fits so well into how Mikel Arteta wants to play, so they need to buy one more striker or someone who can offer versatility in a wide role as well.”
