Arsenal set to table third transfer bid for Premier League star as Chelsea emerge as threat

Premier League side Arsenal are set to battle with their London rivals Chelsea for the signature of Brighton & Hove defender Ben White.

Arsenal have made their intentions known in the transfer window as they are willing to sign a centre-back after David Luiz left the club upon completion of his contract.

The Gunners have already seen two offers rejected for White, and with reports that Chelsea have also identified him as a top target, Arsenal are set to return with a third bid.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal will be tabling a third bid for Ben White as they hope to complete a deal after Euro 2020.

The Gunners are eager to sign the England international as they are willing to see him partner Gabriel Magalhaes in defence.

Chelsea might relent in their effort to sign Ben White if Arsenal submit the third bid as the 2020/21 Champions League winner recently extended Thiago Silva’s contract.

However, Thomas Tuchel might pursue the signing of Ben White if he considers him a replacement for Thiago Silva, who might be playing his last season with the blues.
