Arsenal are reportedly preparing a significant offer to sign West Ham United’s attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Gunners are actively seeking to strengthen their attacking options following a dip in goals during the latter half of the season. With injuries to key forwards Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, manager Mikel Arteta has had to rely on makeshift solutions, including deploying midfielder Mikel Merino in an advanced role.

The squad has also struggled with the absence of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli due to injuries.

Kudus, who has impressed at West Ham with his creativity, versatility, and goal-scoring ability, is seen as a valuable addition to bolster Arsenal’s frontline.

His ability to operate across multiple attacking roles makes him an ideal fit for Arteta’s tactical system. However, Arsenal face competition from Liverpool, who are also interested in the Ghanaian international.

Reports suggest Kudus would be open to a move to Anfield, with Liverpool’s incoming manager Arne Slot previously describing him as “almost uncontrollable,” a testament to his dynamic style of play.

West Ham are believed to be open to selling Kudus, who has a release clause of £85 million. However, it’s understood that a bid in the region of £70 million could be enough to secure his services.

As both Arsenal and Liverpool prepare for a busy transfer window, Kudus has emerged as a key target, and a potential bidding war could be on the cards as the clubs look to reinforce their squads for the new season.
