Arsenal have reportedly been handed fresh encouragement in their pursuit of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, with reports suggesting Villa have lowered their asking price ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining Villa from Middlesbrough for £8 million in February 2024. Since then, Rogers has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents, contributing 31 goals and 29 assists in 125 appearances across all competitions.

His impressive performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. However, Arsenal are believed to be leading the race for his signature as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options before the new season.

With uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli amid reported interest from Newcastle United, Arsenal view Rogers as an ideal addition. His versatility, creativity, and ability to operate effectively on the left flank make him an attractive option for Arteta’s evolving squad.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently reiterated Arsenal’s strong interest in Rogers while discussing the club’s recruitment plans. Although Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola remains another player admired by the Gunners, Rogers is understood to be a priority target.

Arsenal’s recruitment team, led by sporting director Andrea Berta, are now closely monitoring developments as they assess the feasibility of a deal. With Villa reportedly more flexible in their valuation, the North London club could be preparing to intensify efforts to secure one of England’s most promising attacking talents.
