Chelsea will on Tuesday make a short trip to North London where they will face Arsenal at Emirate Stadium.

Ahead of the match, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta in a pre-match statement has called on fans to warmly welcome Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Tuesday night.

Recall that the former Gunners captain is expected to make his first appearance at the Emirates after he was stripped of his armband and terminated his contract 16 months ago.

Following his departure from Arsenal, Aubameyang moved to Spanish side Barcelona, only to return to the EPL with Chelsea.

He is now expected to join a struggling Chelsea side on their trip to North London.

However, the Arsenal boss has said he deserves a warm reception.

Arteta said: “Let’s say thank you, pay respect and gratitude for what he was.

“He was an incredible player for us, scored a lot of goals, he was our captain, and he deserves that.”

The Gunners will return to the top of the table if they defeat the Blues.
