Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their interest in Juventus and Turkey winger Kenan Yildiz, with Mikel Arteta’s side preparing to compete with Chelsea and Manchester City in what’s shaping up to be a fierce transfer battle.

The 19-year-old has impressed this season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists for Juventus, while also netting twice in 19 appearances for Turkey since his debut in October 2023.

Yildiz’s performances have caught the attention of several top European clubs, including Liverpool, who were said to be preparing a bid earlier this year. Now, Arsenal are believed to be making concrete moves to secure his signature, according to reports from Spain.

With the Gunners falling short in their Premier League title pursuit, Arteta is prioritising reinforcements to his attacking options this summer. While a centre-forward remains the primary target, adding a versatile wide attacker like Yildiz is also high on the agenda.

Arsenal’s depth in attack has been tested throughout the season due to injuries to key players such as Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz.

The situation has seen Leandro Trossard and even midfielder Mikel Merino deployed in advanced roles, while teenager Ethan Nwaneri has seen more first-team action than expected.

Yildiz’s arrival would provide much-needed depth and future potential, strengthening Arsenal’s frontline as they prepare for another title push next season.
