Arsenal Dream Signing Set for Real Madrid as Manchester United Step Aside

Manchester United have reportedly ended their interest in Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer, opting to focus on alternative midfield targets, while Arsenal face growing competition in their pursuit of one of Europe’s most highly rated young talents.

Both Premier League clubs are aiming to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign. Arsenal are looking to build on their title-winning season, while Manchester United are seeking further progress after an impressive second half of the campaign under Michael Carrick, who was rewarded with the permanent head coach role.

Bouaddi, who has enjoyed a rapid rise at Lille and is regarded as one of the brightest young midfielders in European football, has attracted interest from several top clubs. Arsenal have been strongly linked with the Morocco international, with reports suggesting he is viewed as a dream signing by key figures at the Emirates Stadium.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Arsenal have maintained regular contact regarding a potential deal. Speaking to Time2Play, Romano explained that Paris Saint-Germain have monitored Bouaddi for months, although midfield recruitment is not currently a priority for the French champions.

He also noted that Arsenal and Liverpool have held multiple meetings with the player’s representatives since January, highlighting the growing interest in securing his signature.

However, despite the strong Premier League interest, reports suggest Bouaddi’s long-term future may lie elsewhere. There is increasing belief that Real Madrid are positioning themselves to win the race for the teenager, with some sources claiming the Spanish giants are confident he will be playing at the Santiago Bernabéu next season.
