Former Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand has called on Arsenal to stop celebrating their recent win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Ferdinand claimed Arsenal only beat Chelsea’s ‘B team’.

Recall that the London derby between the two rivals ended 1-0, with Mikel Arteta’s side winning all three points and retaining their spot at the top of the league.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter made use of the 4-2-3-1 formation, which featured Edouard Mendy in goal and a back four of Cesar Azpilicueta, Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva and Marc Cucurella.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jorginho in midfielders, while the three in front consisted of Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang played as a lone striker.

Ferdinand was not convinced by the strength of the Chelsea team that played against the Gunners on Sunday.

He told his YouTube podcast: “Look at the opposition you [Arsenal] were playing, it wasn’t even their first team!

“Still impressed, but it was not their first team. Kepa [Arrizabalaga] is the No.1 goalkeeper now.

“[Reece] James, [Ben] Chilwell, [Kalidou] Koulibaly, [Wesley] Fofana, [N’Golo] Kante, that’s six players who all [usually] start.

“It was their second team, their B team. Six starters didn’t start!”
