Arsenal
Arsenal could save millions by pursuing Marcus Rashford instead of Morgan Rogers

Arsenal could significantly reduce their summer spending by targeting Marcus Rashford instead of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, with the two England internationals linked to very different transfer valuations.
Morgan Rogers has emerged as one of Arsenal’s priority attacking targets as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his frontline ahead of the new season. However, Aston Villa are under no pressure to sell the versatile forward, whose long-term contract runs until 2031, and reports suggest the Midlands club could demand a fee well in excess of £100 million.
Such a valuation has prompted questions over whether Arsenal will pursue alternative options. One player who continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester United is Marcus Rashford, whose future remains uncertain.
The England forward is expected to be available for a significantly lower fee than Rogers, making him a more affordable option for Arsenal as they look to balance spending across several positions. Arteta is also keen to strengthen midfield and full-back, meaning financial flexibility could prove crucial during the remainder of the transfer window.
Rashford’s pace, versatility and Premier League experience make him an attractive option if Arsenal decide against meeting Villa’s demands for Rogers. While the 28-year-old has endured mixed fortunes in recent seasons, he has consistently shown he can deliver goals and assists at the highest level.
Whether Arsenal choose to pursue Rashford or continue their pursuit of Rogers remains to be seen. However, with Villa standing firm over their valuation, the Gunners may decide that a move for the Manchester United forward represents better value as they continue building a squad capable of defending their Premier League title and competing for European honours.
