Arsenal may have defeated the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham among others in the race to sign Man City star Gabriel Jesus this summer.

This comes as the report claims the Gunners have reached an agreement with the Citizens and could complete the deal in the next seven days.

The report revealed the Gunners will pay Man City a fee of £50m to sign Jesus this summer, where he would play regular football.

Aside from Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Real Madrid have also expressed interest in signing Jesus but the Daily Mail reports that his former coach, Mikel Arteta, is leading the race to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Jesus will be the Gunners’ fourth signing this summer as they have already signed the likes of goalkeeper Matt Turner, forward Marquinhos and midfielder Fabio Vieira.

The North London side signed Turner and Marquinhos for around £7.5m and £3m respectively, but their summer spending will edge closer to £100m once Jesus’ transfer to the Emirates is completed.
