Former Chelsea striker and France international, Olivier Giroud has issued a warning to Argentina captain and PSG star Lionel Messi that his side will not let him enjoy when they clash in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday night.

According to Giroud, France’s players would do everything possible to prevent Messi from making any impact during the World Cup final.

France will tackle Argentina in the World Cup final in Qatar this weekend.

They had defeated Morocco 2-0 in the semi-final encounter a few days ago, while Argentina won 3-0 against Croatia.

Speaking with TribalFootball, Giroud, who currently plays his club football at AC Milan, said, “Messi is an incredible player, but we’re not going to let him enjoy the best night he can have. We want to win this game. We want to win another World Cup.

“We will try everything to stop him. But there is not only Messi in that team. They’ve got great players who work for the team also. I think that is why they are so strong.”
