Man City star striker and Argentina international, Sergio Aguero has broken Man Utd star, Wayne Rooney’s record for the most scored goals for one club as he leaves the Premier League.

Aguero has spent 10 years at Etihad Stadium and would finally be saying goodbye in the summer transfer window.

While Pep Guardiola didn’t start the Argentine striker during their last game of the season vs. Everton, he was, however, introduced into the game in the second half and scored twice as the champions won 2-0.

Rooney managed 183 goals during his 13 years at Old Trafford and Aguero’s first goal meant he drew level with the England legend.

Aguero ensured that he broke the record with a second goal.

In all, he netted 258 times in 388 games for City.

Aguero will be moving to the Spanish club, Barcelona on a free transfer this summer. The report has revealed that the Catalans are set to offer the forward a two-year deal.

However, before his departure, Aguero could also help Man City clinch their first UEFA Champions League when they take on Chelsea a few days from now at Porto, Portugal.

The Citizens would hope to clinch the trophy and end this season on a good note.
