Again, Chelsea linked with moves for Ronaldo

Chelsea have been linked with another move for Man Utd striker Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

This comes as Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes made contact with Chelsea over a transfer for the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar.

As of now, the Blues are in need of a striker and with Ronaldo’s desperation to play for a club in the Champions League this season, it could favour both sides.

Recall that Mendes had held talks with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly earlier in late July sparking speculations about Ronaldo’s move to Stamford Bridge.

But it was reported that the Blues manager, Thomas Tuchel was reluctant to give a green light.

With the Blues for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona having failed as Barcelona were demanding around £30m for the 33-year-old they signed for free just six months ago, Mendes has returned to Chelsea with an option for them to sign Ronaldo.

A report via Metro, however, added that Tuchel still has the same reservations over signing Ronaldo, but it remains to be seen if he might shift grounds as the club have failed to strengthen their attack.
