Arsenal Iconic player David Seaman believes an attack of confidence is hindering Arsenal under Mikel Arteta as he noted why the Spaniard must be backed in the January transfer window

The Gunners are currently in the worst form of their history, winning just one win in their last nine Premier League matches.

Arsenal earned a point against high-flying Southampton on Wednesday night after the Guuners have endured Six defeats in nine matches.

The heat is now on Mikel Arteta as fans are skeptical of the club’s future under him with some urging the board to make a quick decision on the Spaniard who only joined last season.

However, Seaman feels a little faith in their own abilities may go a long way for Arsenal.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Seaman noted that everyone know how good Arsenal can be, especially the way they play with one-touch, two-touch as that is what they are known for, those hidden passes in between defenders.

However, at the moment it isn’t happening. It’s a massive lack of confidence.

Seaman added that the results against Southampton is going to push them on a little bit because, it can’t really get any worse.

He urged fans to save judgement on Arteta until he adds a few more fresh faces to his crop as he noted that people who know him at the training ground say his coaching techniques are fantastic.

Arsenal will be hoping to grind in positive results during the December busy schedule as this will ensure they start the new year as a top four contender.
