Why Arsenal will be fined over game vs Liverpool

A recent report via Goal revealed Arsenal will be fined to the tune of £25,000 after six of their players picked up yellow cards during their win against Liverpool.

Recall that the Gunners defeated the Reds in a 3-1 scoreline on Sunday in what was a combative match.

During the match, Seven seven players were booked, including six yellow cards and a red for Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate.

Three of the four Arsenal defenders who started the game – Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes – were all booked while Jakub Kiwior, who came in as a substitute for Oleksandr Zinchenko, also saw his name taken by the referee.

Declan Rice and Kai Havertz were also shown yellow cards.

The Premier League will hand a fine worth £25,000 on the north London side for the amount of yellow cards picked up.

Chelsea and Liverpool were also fined earlier in the season after 6 of their players were booked.
