UCL: Arsenal suffer injury blow ahead of game vs Sevilla

Arsenal have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of their Champions League game against Spanish club Sevilla.

The recent update revealed the Gunners striker Eddie Nketiah was forced to miss training on Tuesday.

Nketiah had been a knock during Arsenal’s game vs Newcastle United in the Premier League over the weekend.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may have to make use of one of Kai Havertz or Leandro Trossard as his main striker against Sevilla, as Gabriel Jesus is already absent.

Arteta’s side will hope to make it back-to-back wins against Sevilla on Wednesday night.

The Gunners had won 2-1 in the reverse fixture in Spain a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Arteta has also confirmed that Jesus will not be fit for their Champions League clash with Sevilla on Wednesday night, while Martin Odegaard is also a doubt.

“Gabi won’t be fit and Martin [is] uncertain,” Arteta told a press conference on Tuesday.

“The rest, no news so far.”
