Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has remained in the news days after extending his contract with the club by two years.

Amid reports that the Citizens could be relegated over their legal case with the Premier League over alleged financial breaches, Guardiola, has stated that he is committed to the club no matter the outcome.

His new contract with the Citizens has ended speculations that he could depart from Etihad, with his previous deal set to end in June 2025.

In a pre-match press conference ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s visit this weekend, the Citizens manager has said he would remain at Etihad Stadium even if the independent panel finds the club guilty and they are relegated.

Guardiola recalled speaking six months ago, when all the clubs accused Man City of having done something wrong.

He stated that whatever happened even if they were relegated, he would be there.

“Next year, if we are in the Conference we will come up to the Premier League. I knew it then, I feel it now,” said,” he said.

Meanwhile, Guardiola is on the course of winning another Premier League title with Man City as they are one of the contenders this season.
