Reports: Arsenal pulls out of deal for highly rated shot stopper due to transfer fee

Premier League outfit, Arsenal have reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale after failing to agree on a fee.

Arsenal have been in the transfer window for a goalkeeper who will serve as an alternative to their Germany goalkeeper, Bernd Leno.

The London club were linked with Ajax shot stopper Andre Onana but a deal was not finalized due to the players ban.

All attention was switched to Ramsdale who had a wonderful season with Sheffield United before their relegation to the championship.

The England international have been on Arsenal’s radar for the past few weeks but
football.london have reported that a deal is off the table.

According to the report, Sheffield United value Ramsdale at around £30million but Arsenal are willing to pay nothing less than £20million.

The report claimed there was a meeting between club officials on Wednesday afternoon there was still optimism from both sides that a deal could be reached as late as 5pm on the same day.

However, both side couldn’t struck a bargain on the transfer fee and Arsenal will now be forced to look elsewhere for a goalkeeper.

Arsenal will begin their Premier League campaign on Friday as they play new comers, Brentford.
