Reports: Arsenal midfielder move to Turkey collapse over wage demands

Arsenal’s quest to get Mohamed Elneny out of the club has hit a stumbling block with Galatasaray reportedly rejecting the offer on the table.

Mohamed Elneny is yet to get a club and Arsenal are eager to move on from the Egyptian international who has lost his place under Mikel Arteta.

With the transfer window still open in the Turkish league, Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Galatasaray who have identified Eleny as a player that can play in their team.

However, a new report from Milliyet has claimed Eleny’s wage demand has seen the deal collapse with the Turkish club not ready to offer the Egyptian what he wants.

Eleny has just 12 months left on his current Arsenal deal and the Premier League side are willing to cut him off their wage bill rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer.

The Egyptian is yet to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side this season as they continue to look for their first win in the Premier League.
