The Spanish side, Real Madrid have landed transfer blow on the EPL side over the signing of Martin Odegaard.

According to the reports, Arsenal under coach Mikel Arteta have been working out ways to sign Odegaard to Emirate stadium permanently.

Recall that the Norway footballer moved to Arsenal from Real Madrid in the January transfer window and has become a key player in the Gunners squad led by Arteta.

He has been in impressive form for the Gunners as he has already scored twice in 12 appearances in all competitions.

Signing Odegaard will be hard for Arsenal as the agreement with Real Madrid didn’t include them signing him permanently.

The report from Spain has also revealed that Real Madrid will not allow Arsenal to sign him permanently.

According to Marca, the Spanish champions are ‘not even contemplating’ selling Odegaard in the upcoming market as he is viewed as a key part of their plans moving forward.

The report also reveals that Odegaard determined to make his mark with Real Madrid, who signed him from Stromsgodset in 2015.

With this latest development, the Gunners who have been hoping for a permanent deal should be preparing themselves for a departure of Odegaard in the summer transfer window.
