Ozil believes he would get good deals when his contract ends at Arsenal

Germany international, Mesut Ozil has refused to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window despite being out of favour at the club.

Ozil has not made an appearance in the Premier league and Europa for the Gunners under Miker Arteta since the lockdown was lifted.

The 32-year-old midfielder has however refused to leave as a report stated that he is ready to fight for his space in the Gunners squad at least to the end of the season.

However, the chances of Ozil ever playing for Arsenal again is very low, because despite their poor performance and the need for a creative midfielder in the team, Arteta has refused to turn to Ozil as an option.

It seems Ozil prefers to continue to earn his £350,000-a-week wage which includes loyalty bonuses and incentives to playing elsewhere.

The midfielder believes that once he becomes a free agent in the summer he would get offers from new clubs.

While this may be true, he might however, not get the big pay he is getting at Arsenal for doing nothing but he has the experience that would make clubs want to sign him.

While a return to Spain might not be possible, Ozil could receive interest from the Italian League or the French Ligue 1.
