Mkel Arteta hails new summer signing as Arsenal gets back to winning ways

Two straight loss in the Premier League has got Mikel Arteta’s job at Arsenal on the line with some fans calling for the Spaniard tactician to be shown the exit door.

Arsenal failed to win against newly promoted Brentford in their first Premier League match and we’re outclassed by Chelsea in their second match.

However, the Gunners returned to winning ways last night as they defeated West Brom in their Carabao Cup clash.

An hat-trick from Aubameyang paved the way for Arsenal with a goal from Saka, Pepe and Lacazette ensuring that their fans smile back home.

The match also saw Martin Odegaard making his debut after his move from Real Madrid and also Aaron Ramsdale who joined from Sheffield United.

Speak after the match, Arteta was impressed by the performances of both players in Arsenal’s comfortable win over West Brom.

Arteta stated that they were very good.

He noted that Odegaard gave the team something different that they don’t have with any other player while Ramsdale looked very comfortable and he’s a big personality.

Arteta added that Ramsdale hasn’t trained a lot with the team but he’s a really young goalkeeper who has done a lot in this league already.
