Deal Almost Done: Arsenal set to accept deal with youngster who shone during loan spell

Arsenal have begin their new Premier League season in a sad manner as they lost their league opener to newcomers Brentford

Brentford put in an impressive performance to defeat Arsenal two-nil, and this has raised eyebrows amidst fans of the London club with some calling for the sacking of Mikel Arteta.

As Mikel Arteta tried to turn the fortunes of the club around in their next match, the latest report has claimed that they might be having another shot at re-signing Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.

According to journalist Dean Jones, Real Madrid are open to allowing Odegaard to leave for Arsenal this season as he might not be able to have playtime under Carlo Ancelotti.

Odegaard spent six-month at Arsenal last season, and the London club have set eyes on him this summer.

Speaking on The Football Terrace, Jones stated that there’ the potential there that they can do the loan. Real Madrid, as he’s been told, are open to it. We’ll see whether it comes through.

Jones noted that if there’s the possibility to take Odegaard on loan, then it’s absolutely perfect for Arsenal right now, knowing that the player can settle straight into the team and the club. Arteta absolutely loves him.

The popular journalist added that on Odegaard’s wages for the season, Arsenal might have to put up a small fee but not a significant fee and then have that option to buy him again next year.
