Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed the Gunners have been underperforming at the goal front.

He, however, insisted that the Gunners are not considering signing a new striker in January.

The duo of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah started during the Gunners 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham on Sunday.

However, the two forwards came under criticism after failing to find the scoresheet.

So far, Arsenal have scored 11 Premier League goals compared to an expected goals total of 11.38 this season.

Arteta said: “There’s various ways to score goals and we are scoring goals.

“But we should have scored many more with the chances we have created.”

There were claims this week suggesting Arteta is interested in signing Ivan Toney when he returns from his suspension in January.

But the Spaniard said: “We’re not thinking at all about that.

“We have really good players up front. It’s true that right now we have some injuries. We will continue with the players we have.”
