Arsenal unwanted midfielder linked to Turkish club

Recall that Germany international, Mesut Ozil revealed that he wouldn’t be leaving Arsenal in January as he hopes to leave for free in the summer to another club.

It however looks like he would not have to wait for that long as the German midfielder has been linked with moves to Turkey.

A new reports has confirmed that Turkish side, Fenerbahce are ready to make a move for Ozil in January.

The German international has fall out of place in the Gunners squad led by Mikel Arteta, who has not given him play time since the lockdown was lifted.

Even though Arsenal needs a midfielder badly, the club have however refused to focus on Ozil as the man they need as they have been making moves to sign a new player for the role.

Ozil could move to Turkey in January as a Fenerbahce congress member, Murat Zorlu, revealed the move is  “90 per cent sure.”

Zorlu told Sport Digitale that a source very well connected to Fenerbahce has told him that Mesut Ozil is likely to become a player in the Turkish league during the next transfer window.

Arsenal would gladly accept the offer as they are hoping to at least make some money off him rather than see him go for free at the end of the season.
