Arsenal Target England Star Eberechi Eze, Who Favors Liverpool; Loan Deal Confirmed

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing Crystal Palace’s standout playmaker Eberechi Eze and have already engaged in preliminary talks with his agents about a potential transfer.
Eze, currently on international duty at Euro 2024, has also attracted interest from Tottenham, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
The 26-year-old had a stellar season with Palace, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
Tottenham sees Eze as a key summer target and is willing to meet his £60m release clause. However, according to Football Transfers, Arsenal is determined to outmaneuver their North London rivals for Eze’s signature.
The Gunners reportedly contacted his agents earlier this month to gauge his interest in moving to the Emirates.
Although there has been no further contact since, Eze remains a target for Mikel Arteta. However, the deal could be complicated as Eze is reluctant to join a club that cannot guarantee him first-team football.
Liverpool has also shown concrete interest but will only pursue a deal if Barcelona target Luis Diaz leaves.
The competition for Eze is expected to intensify once the Euros conclude on Sunday. Despite making only three appearances off the bench for England, Eze’s quality is evident.
He prefers a move to Liverpool, where he believes he would receive more consistent playing time.
Eze’s primary position as an attacking midfielder is currently occupied by Arsenal’s captain Martin Odegaard. He can also play on the left wing, where the Gunners have Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
Despite this, Arteta believes Eze would be a valuable addition to the squad.
Palace has already lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer for a reported €60m (£50.5m). Losing Eze would be another significant blow for manager Oliver Glasner, but if any club matches his £60m release clause, Palace will be powerless to stop his departure.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, or Tottenham will make a concrete bid for Eze after the Euros final.
Lokonga Secures Loan Move to Sevilla
While Arsenal’s recruitment team focuses on new signings, they have also finalized a significant outgoing transfer.
Midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is set to join Sevilla on a season-long loan, according to reports from Spain. We previously revealed that an agreement was close, with discussions around whether the deal would include a mandatory or optional buy clause.
Sevilla has secured the option to buy Lokonga for €12m (£10.1m) at the end of the loan period. Lokonga hopes to reignite his career in La Liga after a challenging spell with Luton Town last season.
