Arsenal suffer another blow on Odegaard

Arsenal will be playing most game for the rest of the season without their captain Martin Odegaard.

This comes as a new report claimed Odegaard has suffered a new setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.

The latest update means the Norway international who has now spent approximately one month on the sidelines, will be away for more weeks.

Recall that Odegaard suffered a serious sprain he sustained while in action for his country Norway in September’s Nations League fixtures.

Odegaard was made to sit out each of Arsenal’s last seven matches in all competitions, and while the North London club have not lost any of them, they have been severely hampered on the creativity front without their skipper.

The former Real Madrid star was initially expected to make a return before the end of the month, potentially making his comeback against Liverpool on August 27.

However, according to Con Harrison – via football.london – the Norwegian is now suffering from a new complication, and there are claims that he could be on the sidelines until December.

This is a major blow of Arsenal who are looking forward to winning a Premier League title this season ahead of Man City.
