Arsenal submit €10m bid for Palmeiras defender

Arsenal are determined to sign a new defender before the summer transfer window deadline.
The Gunners who recently signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, are said to have made a €10 million bid for Palmeiras centre-back Luiz Benedetti.
Arsenal are aiming to bolster their central defensive line before the transfer window closes as they prepare to compete for Premier League title this season.
It is no news that Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior is pushing for a move to Porto FC, but a deal could depend on Arsenal’s pursuit of Piero Hincapie.
The Gunners are negotiating a loan deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Hincapie. If they get an approval, Kiwior could move on.
Amid this, a report via TV Espírito de Porco claimed that the Gunners have offered €10m to sign Benedetti.
However, the Brazilian club are demanding at least €15m including bonuses. So far, the North London club have not made a renewed proposal.
19-year-old Benedetti is a strong ball-playing centre-back and has a passing accuracy of 93 percent this season.
The left-footed defender has a towering presence at 6 feet 6 inches and has won 71 percent of his aerial duels.
Aside from Benedetti, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Girona right-back Arnau Martinez.
