Arsenal Receive Bid as Arteta Approves Summer Departure

Arsenal have reportedly received a £17 million offer for Leandro Trossard, with the Belgian international increasingly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.

According to reports from Belgium, interest in the experienced winger is growing as Arsenal continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new campaign. Trossard has been a key figure for the Gunners since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 in a deal worth around £27 million.

The 31-year-old has made 174 appearances for Arsenal and has consistently delivered important contributions in attack. His most productive season came in 2023/24, when he scored 17 goals across all competitions, but he has remained an influential member of Mikel Arteta’s squad ever since.

One of Trossard’s most memorable moments came during Arsenal’s title-winning campaign last season. His late strike against West Ham United in the closing stages of the season proved crucial in helping the club secure its first Premier League crown since 2004.

Despite his importance to the team, Arsenal appear willing to consider offers as they look to refresh their attacking options. The North London club are actively exploring the market for a new left-sided winger, with highly-rated youngsters Eli Junior Kroupi and Bradley Barcola among the names linked with a move.

Reports earlier this month suggested Arsenal were open to listening to offers for both Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. With a £17 million bid now reportedly on the table, Trossard’s future could become one of the major transfer stories to watch in the coming weeks.
