Arsenal reach agreement with Real Sociedad midfielder

Arsenal are close to welcoming another player this summer transfer window.

This comes as a recent report revealed the Gunners have reached an agreement with Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino.

A report from Football Transfers disclosed that the North London club and Merino have agreed personal terms over his transfer to the English Premier League.

The Gunners were said to have commenced talks with Merino’s agents after Euro 2024 in Germany.

Arsenal, however, still have work to do if they are keen on signing Merino.

This is because the Gunners were yet to speak with Real Sociedad and no bid has been submitted at this stage for the player.

There are no details on whether Real Sociedad will be willing to part ways with Merino this summer.

It is not news that Arsenal are determine to bolster manager Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer ahead of the new 2024–25 season.

Recall that the Gunners finished in second spot on the Premier League log behind champions Manchester City last season for the second time in a row.

The North London side have, however, refused to give up on their chances of lifting the Premier League title as they return for the new season.
