Arsenal manager comment on rumoured exit

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reacted to the rumours about his future away from the club.

This comes after the report in the Spanish press linked Arteta with a new job at La Liga side Barcelona.

The rumours seemed to have hit the media after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp announced he was leaving Anfield at the end of this season.

While Arteta may want to coach a top club in his country one day, he outlined how much he is committed to Arsenal at the moment.

“No, that’s totally fake news what you read yesterday,” Arteta told reporters.

“I don’t know where it’s coming from and it’s totally untrue. I’m really upset about it.”

He added: “I could not believe [it] I don’t know where it’s coming from and it’s got no source, it’s got nothing.

“I think we have to be very cautious when you talk about personal things to put it in the way it was put yesterday.”
