Arsenal have better players than Tottenham – Paul Merson

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has thrown his weight behind the Gunners ahead of their weekend match against their neighbours Tottenham Hotspur.

On Sunday, Tottenham will host Arsenal in what a match that could determine the fate of the two club ahead of next season.

Arsenal are looking to win their Premier League title while Tottenham are in a race to finish in the top four to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.

A win for the Gunners will see them extend their lead at the top of the Premier League against current champions Man City.

Merson, during an interview via Sky Sports, is rooting for the Gunners who he claimed have better players than the Hotpurs.

According to Merson, the Gunners are more of a unit stand a good chance of winning the match.

“I can’t see anything but an Arsenal win knowing how Tottenham like to play,” he said.

This season is another opportunity for Arsenal to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in 20 years.

The Gunners were close to lifting it last season before they lost it Man City, who are also in the race to win the title again this campaign.
