Arsenal’s search for a new striker has taken an interesting turn, with reports suggesting the club are now monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike, as they continue to explore options in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners have made no secret of their desire to strengthen their attacking line as they aim to close the gap on Liverpool and other Premier League rivals. Viktor Gyokeres has been Arsenal’s top target in recent weeks, and it is believed that personal terms with the Sporting CP striker have already been agreed. However, negotiations with Sporting have proven difficult, with the Portuguese club holding firm on their high valuation, attempting to extract the maximum possible fee.

As a result, Arsenal are keeping a close watch on alternative options should talks for Gyokeres collapse. Hugo Ekitike, currently with Eintracht Frankfurt, has emerged as a potential candidate. The French striker has attracted significant interest from clubs across Europe this summer due to his promising performances and goal-scoring ability.

Interestingly, this development has sparked fresh speculation around Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. Reports suggest that should Arsenal miss out on their primary targets, they could revisit interest in Isak, who has also been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park.

With the transfer window in full swing, Arsenal remain proactive in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements, carefully weighing their options to ensure they make the right addition ahead of the new season.
