Arsenal could bring back former Man City to EPL as move for Williams ebbs low

Arsenal are shifting their focus on Nico Williams who they have been repeatedly linked with the summer transfer window.

The recent reports disclosed that the Gunners are now planning to make a move for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane after failing to sign top target Williams.

Football Transfers has previously reported that the German club would be open to negotiate with their Premier League counterpart if an offer of over £40 million came their way.

This comes amid Bayern Munich new manager Vincent Kompany’s stance to keep hold of the former Manchester City winger at the club.

Amid Kompany’s interest to have Sane at Bayern Munich, report disclosed that the German Bundesliga side are trying to raise funds by selling a wide player after already having spent €145 million in this transfer window.

The return of Sane to the Premier League would be a boost for the Gunners if the deal becomes a reality.

With Sane in the Gunners squad, the North London might stand a chance to unseat Man City as the Premier League champions.

Recall that Arsenal have attempted to win the title two times in a row but ended up losing it narrowly to the Citizens led by Pep Guardiola.
