Arsenal are tired – Former defender say after defeat to Fulham
Former Arsenal defender Matthew Upson in a recent statement has described the Gunners’ recent 2-1 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage as flat.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Upson stated that the team’s lack of dynamism is contrasting their recent form with previous displays of attacking prowess.
Arsenal who had the early lead through Bukayo Saka struggled to sustain their initial momentum, leading to an underwhelming performance.
Fulham capitalised on their chances which showed a noticeable absence of urgency and creativity.
They scored twice and demonstrated a more potent attack, particularly in the final third.
Upson’s comments underscore the urgency of this task, as he observed, “When it’s all going right for Arsenal, the ball is firing. They carve teams open.
“That hasn’t been the case of late and they’ve looked a little bit suspect at the back as well. Arsenal looked flat and tired, that would be the major concern for me.”
