Transfer Deal: United asked to delay transfer of talented winger after receiving passport for move

Manchester United’s hope of seeing young winger Amad Diallo play for their team this season might be dashed as Atalanta have asked the Premier League club if they can delay his imminent transfer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has never hide his intentions of adding more quality to his team as he hopes to compete with other top clubs in all competition.

The emergence of Greenwood and Rashford in the past few seasons have seen the club invest more in youthful players and it was not surprising when United agreed a fee for the 18-year-old during the summer window.

According to reports, the deal could reach £37million if some agreement are met.

However, United were unable to complete the move as Diallo was forced to wait before joining up with his new teammates, due to the fact that a work permit has to be granted.

The work permit now looks like a thing of the past with Solskjaer suggesting his arrival was expected in the coming days.

Speaking after his team hard fought victory against Aston Villa, Solskjaer stated that United have had all the paperwork and he can’t see any obstacles delaying Diallo from coming.

Solskjaer revealed that he can’t wait to have him in the team as he’s very excited about bringing him in because he has shown a few times his qualities.

However, he noted that he has to learn to play in England as that’s a different level of football to the one he’s currently playing in Italy.
