Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has shared his opinion on the Blues performance against Aston Villa as he noted that he is pleased.

Frank Lampard’s team were made to work hard by a determined Aston Villa team as the match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that put further doubt on Chelsea’s title chances.

The scoreline means Edouard Mendy has kept just a clean sheet in his last four matches as the Blues made a lot of changes in their backline.

Speaking to the club website about the game, Mendy stated that it was a difficult game because Aston Villa are a good team as he noted that their performance was better than the one against Arsenal and West Ham.

With Frank Lampard opting to change his backline for the tie against Aston Villa, Mendy revealed how it is seeing a new centre-back in front of him.

The shot stopper stated that it was easy switching language from French to English as Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger replaced Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma at the heart of Chelsea’s defence.

According to the Senegal international, he already speaks in English at the training ground and in the game it was easy communicating with Rudiger and Christensen.
