Transfer Deal: Chelsea left-back reportedly anticipating move to Spain on a loan deal

Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has been linked with a move to Spanish outfit, Atletico Madrid as he hopes to revive his career under the guidance of Diego Simeone.

The arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City in the summer transfer window has seen Alonso lose his place in the Chelsea team as Emerson has been Frank Lampard’s second choice left-back ever since the season began.

Alonso now believes he could be one of the players allowed to leave in the January transfer market and Spain have been tipped as his preferred destination.

According to report in Spain, a return to his home country is on the cards with La Liga table-toppers Atletico Madrid proposing a loan deal for the full-back.

Alonso has also been tipped with a reunion with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan with the Spanish international forming a good relationship during the Italian era at Chelsea.

However, reports have it that Chelsea aren’t particularly keen on their defender going to Italy and would prefer him moving to Atletico Madrid where he will be fighting for a place in Diego Simeone’s team.

Report also added that Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is among one of the managers keen on signing Alonso in the winter, but Chelsea’s aren’t particularly keen on their defender going to Italy.
