Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the club to spend money on new signings before this current summer’s transfer window closes for business.

The 20-time English champions endured a 3 – 1 defeat to Crystal Palace in their first Premier League game on Saturday.

Donny van de Beek came off fell the bench to score in the last stages, but the Netherlands midfielder is the only new signing at Old Trafford this summer.

Manchester United executive vice-chairman has proposed that the club will be not able to bring in any huge money signings before the end of the transfer window because of the money related effect of the Covid flare-up.

In any case, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has demanded that the club must improve the squad before the October 5 deadline.

It has hammered home that we have to improve. That isn’t sufficient against any team in the Premier League, BBC Sport cites the Norwegian as saying after the clash with Crystal Palace.

Manchester United continue to be connected with Jadon Sancho, but Borussia Dortmund could supposedly request more than £110m for the Englishman in the final phases of the transfer window.
