Deal CLOSE: Chelsea forward to sign new contract

Chelsea are purportedly hopeful of tying Michy Batshuayi to another contract before sending the striker on loan for the 2020-21 season.

The 26-year-old just scored once in 16 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season and his future has been the subject of theory as of late.

As per report, the Blues need to offer Michy Batshuayi another £100,000 weekly deal to keep him from leaving on a free transfer the next summer, however the forward is probably going to spend next season away from the club.

The report asserts that West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are completely keen on a loan deal, however most of Michy Batshuayi’s wages should be paid by the side that takes him.

Crystal Palace are accepted to be the top choices for the Belgian, who went through the second 50% of the 2018-19 season on loan at Selhurst Park, scoring multiple times in 11 Premier League outings.

Michy Batshuayi has fallen further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Timo Werner this summer.
