Chelsea ready to sell six players to fund Bayer Leverkusen midfielder interest

The Blues are purportedly hoping to sell six players during this current summer’s transfer window so as to fund a major cash move for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz.

The hypothesis connecting Kai Havertz with a move to Stamford Bridge continues, with the Germany playmaker said to ‘dream of a switch to the Premier League’.

Chelsea have just spent large to sign both Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner this summer, but Frank Lampard’s side are believed to be quick to bring the Bayer Leverkusen youngster to the club in front of the 2020-21 season.

The Blues will hope to raise the necessary funds by selling Danny Drinkwater, Emerson Palmieri Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kenedy this summer.

Tiemoue Bakayoko has been on loan with Monaco, while Kenedy and Drinkwater have been on loan at Getafe and Aston Villa individually but Emerson, Alonso and Batshuayi have all been included for the London club this season.
