Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Leicester City over a compensation package for highly-rated youngster Jeremy Monga, putting the club in a strong position to secure his signature ahead of Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 16-year-old winger has attracted widespread attention across England and Europe following an impressive breakthrough campaign despite Leicester City’s difficult season. Monga emerged as one of the club’s brightest prospects and continued to enhance his growing reputation with a series of record-breaking achievements.

During Leicester’s 2024-25 Premier League campaign, Monga made seven first-team appearances, becoming the second-youngest player ever to feature in the competition, behind Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri. His rapid development continued last season as he became Leicester’s youngest-ever starter before making history again as the youngest goalscorer in Championship history.

Leicester had hoped to convince Monga to sign his first professional contract and remain at the King Power Stadium. However, the club now appears resigned to losing one of its most promising academy graduates following relegation.

Several top-flight clubs expressed interest in securing the teenager’s services, but Arsenal have reportedly moved quickest and are now on the verge of completing a deal. The move would represent another significant investment in youth by the Gunners as they continue to build for the future under Mikel Arteta.
