Arsenal linked with moves for Athletic Bilbao winger
Premier League champions Arsenal would be looking to win a second title in a row next season as new reports have linked them with moves to boost their squad.
According to Team Talk, the North London club are “firmly in the hunt” to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, who signed a huge ten-year deal with his club two years ago after he was linked him with both the Gunners and Barcelona.
However, new reports claim he is ready to move on, with an update suggesting he is determined to move to the Premier League.
Aside from Arsenal, EPL clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Man City are said to have similar interest in Williams, who scored the opening goal in Spain’s 2-1 Euro 2024 final win over England.
There is no detail about a potential transfer fee, but it is widely known that the player’s release clause sits at around £85m.
It is, however, uncertain if Arsenal will be willing to spend a huge amount on William, having been linked with moves for numerous wingers in the past.
We have to wait till the summer transfer window to see if Arsenal will make a move.
