Chelsea fall flat at Elland Road as Leeds United win 3 points

Chelsea returned to action on Wednesday night when they made short trip to Elland Road where they play against Leeds United.

The Blues headed to the match at the back of their 1-1 draw against Arsenal over the weekend.

In an unexpected turn, Leeds secured a 3-1 win over Chelsea in their English Premier League, winning all three points.

The Whites put up an impressive performance against Chelsea as they scored two goals in the first half.

While Jaka Bijol, Ao Tanaka and Dominik Calvert-Lewin were all on target for the host, Pedro Neto scored a lone goal for the Blues.

Enzo Maresca’s side were without their key players Moises Caicedo who was handed a red card over the weekend against Arsenal and Cole Palmer who was left on the bench despite his return to form after injury.

Leeds United’s latest win makes it the first time Daniel Farke has coached a team to victory over Chelsea in four attempts.

They have now moved out of the relegation zone to 17th on the log, while Chelsea are seated at the fourth spot on the league table.
