EPL: Alan Shearer’s predictions on Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd fixtures

This weekend is a busy one for Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea and they will hope to end it with a win before heading for the international break.

Former Newcastle United star, Alan Shearer, has predicted some of the weekend games and who he is rooting for.

Struggling Manchester United’s side led by manager Erik ten Hag will make a trip to Aston Villa, while Arsenal will host bottom-side Southampton.

Chelsea and their manager Enzo Maresca will face Nottingham Forest as they hope to maintain their spot in the top four on the league table.

Shearer, speaking to BetFair on Arsenal’s game vs Southampton said he couldn’t see the visitors getting anything at the Emirates, especially after the North London club taught PSG a lesson earlier in the week.

He tipped Arsenal to win Southampton.

On Aston Villa against Manchester United, Shearer opined that Ollie Watkins is back to scoring goals and if he doesn’t perform against the Red Devild, then Duran will come on and score from the bench, just like he did in midweek.

He predicted Aston Villa to defeat Man Utd.

On Chelsea’s game with Nottingham Forest, the former Newcastle striker noted that the Blues have improved under Maresca.

He also noted that Forest had a poor result at home against Fulham and will be looking to bounce back but with Chelsea’s form and the presence of Cole Palmer, Shearer tipped the Blues to win again.
