Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has reacted to the transfer of Micheal Olise to the club this summer transfer window.

Musiala in a statement hailed the arrival of Olise to the German club as he recalled how they had both spent time together at Chelsea Academy.

Recall that Olise arrived at the Bundesliga side from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £45 million plus £5 million add-ons.

Describing Olise and their time at Chelsea Academy, Musiala said the now former Crystal Palace star is super talented and possesses excellent skills.

Musiala added that the winger scored many goals at Palace as he expressed how happy he is about his transfer to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal were interested in signing Olise.

The Blues for one were keen on signing him to play with Cole Palmer on the wing under their newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca.

There were reports that Chelsea had reached agreement last summer with Olise, only for him to pen a new deal with Crystal Palace.

With Olise now a Bayern Munich player, it is the end of the race for Chelsea and Man Utd, who will now have to focus on signing other players.
