Man Utd star tipped to be signed by another club

Former England star Gary Lineker has stressed that another club will try to make a move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay in the next transfer window.

Lineker in a statement expressed surprise as to why the Scotland midfielder is not getting enough game time at Man United under manager Erik ten Hag, despite his stellar performances for his country’s national team.

McTominay fell off the pecking order at Man United under Ten Hag and has only featured for seven minutes so far this season for the Red Devils coming off the bench in wins over Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

While McTominay lacks opportunities at Man United, he impressed for Scotland against Cyprus, as he emerged as the joint-top scorer in the Euro 2024 qualifying match.

“I notice Scott McTominay playing and getting in the box a lot,” Lineker told The Rest Is Football podcast.

“He scored again in this game; he scored a couple. He is a top scorer in qualifying. It is nuts, yet he is not really getting a look in at Manchester United. Someone will go for him [in the January transfer window or next summer], surely.”
